Today (monday) my dad is on day six of treatment and he has one day left of the first round. He gets a break for a few days and then on day 14 they will do another bone marrow test to see if there are any blast cells. His blood test shows no blast cells but the bone marrow test (on day 14) will be more definitive. He his very sick though with flu-like symptoms and chills...which is not really uncommon because, as I'm sure you all know, the chemotherapy treatment kills everything...the bad along with the good.I am corresponding with my uncle Buddy...my dad isn't really interested in anything right now (although he does enjoy buddy playing worship music for him) because he is so sick. So, don't be offended that you don't get any emails back for a while. I know that he has seen many of your encouraging emails, cards, etc already...and he will see all of them as he is feeling better. My dad just needs your prayers that he will be strong and not give up, and that they can get his infection (s) under control.
Thank you once again...from the bottom of my heart.

Buddy, I'm go glad you are there to minister in music and worship to Kit. My last service at Hope in March, before I had to leave to go to Seattle to tend to my newly widowed sister, you led an awesome worship service. I see the Lord's grace in your ministry, and that is what Kit and we all need at this time and all times. To be continually aware of His Grace, abundant grace. That is my challenge as well as another seriously ill friend in CO which I'll be seeing tomorrow. Our troubles and trials are BREAD for us. I guess our challenge is that we see that. Jehovah Jireh!
With Aloha,
