Here is what my dad wanted to say:

"the turnout on friday night and the response to the message was so encouraging to me. Being able to see so much of the body all at once and to have that time of sharing God's word and being able to worship together was so nourishing to my soul and so wonderful. I know that a lot of you felt the same and I'm going to try to get back up there a week from friday. I know that the strength God gave me and being able to deliver that message was because of your prayers. I thank everyone who is reading and interacting with this blog because I know it's your love, concern, care and encouragement that helps me and my family make it to the next day. To watch God's love being poured out by you guys is an awesome thing. I will continue to serve the body and love on my family and friends as long as the Lord gives me breath."

Face Down

* This song was sung at the Friday Night worship, after Kit's teaching. Some of you may want to hear (and sing) it again, so here's the video of lyrics of it:

Welcomed in to the courts of the king,
I've been ushered into your presence.
Lord, I stand on your merciful ground,
Yet with every step thread with reverence.

There is none in heavens like you,,
And upon the earth, who's your equal?
You are far above, You're the highest of heights,
And I'm bowing down to exalt you.

And I'll fall face down,
As Your glory shines around.
Yes I'll fall face down,
As your glory shines around.

Let your glory shine around,
Let you glory shine around.
King of glory here be found,
King of glory.

Speaking Friday Night...

Hi Everyone, my dad wanted you all to know that he is planning on speaking at the Friday night service tomorrow night.  Please pray that God would place his healing hand on my dad and give him the strength to teach.
Thanks so much!
with love,

a prayer request

I am feeling strong enough this morning to get on line to let you know I am still here on planet earth and that I appreciate all your prayers, love & support that continue pouring into my heart and into my family. I desire to teach at church a week from this Friday and so I am asking God for permission, strength and clarity. It is the desire of my heart. So, I am also asking if you would pray that God would do just that...give me the strength, give me the clarity to bring a message before the Church one week from this Friday. You are always on my heart and in my prayers.

Forever
love

Kit's Savior Loves, Kit's Savior Lives

This photo was taken from Maisha's Facebook page. I love this photo of them, don't you? Below is a worship song we know Kit and Maisha like. I think we all like it too:

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands one who is my Savior

I take Him at His word and deed
Christ died to save me; this I read
And in my heart I find a need
Of Him to be my savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

Chorus (2x's)
My Savior loves, My Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God: He was, my God; He is
My God is always gonna be

Yes, living, dying, let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring;
That He who lives to be my King
Once died to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves, My Savior lives
My Savior loves, My Savior lives

*** Kit's is doing ok (I know you always want to know how he's doing) Of course, your prayers are always appreciated.

In addition, any fun times (even crazy times) you have with Kit that you want to share here in the comment section would be appreciated too (for the Proverbs says, laughter is a good medicine :). OK, even if it's serious and not funny, like how God blessed you or inspired you to walk closer to Jesus through Kit's testimony, feel free to share in the comment section. I know that's an encouragement to Kit and family :)

And if you just want to say "hi" just stopping by, that's ok too :)

Wednesday hello :-)

Kit wanted to say:
"After a couple days of not being able to get up...I was able to get up a little bit today. It must have been your prayers because I felt that it was God Himself telling me to get up today. Maisha was able to read my emails and blog comments to me and it's always very encouraging and comforting that I'm still on your minds and in your hearts and prayers."

My dad is very tired, but not in a lot of pain. He has started to have night sweats again. My family and I are very grateful for this time together and for all of you who love us. I know that many of you would like to hear from my mom...hopefully she will be able to write on the blog sometime. She's very busy as she's back to her regular work schedule and is also taking care of my dad.

We love you all.
Maisha and family
