A Note from Kit:)

Kit here...I hope many of you are still reading the blog. I thank you for your continued prayers and support of me and my family as we continue to pray for complete healing from a disease that is officially listed as incurable at this time. My blood counts have been strong except for my white blood cells. So please pray for my good white blood cells to increase and for the cancer cells to die. I trust in the LORD, whether He gives me a day or a hundred years. I also want to thank my two sister-in-laws for participating in a "Team in Training". They participated and completed a 100k bike race for the Leukemia Foundation which raised over $56,000 and Mahalo to those of you who sponsored them. All you guys have been so awesome in your support and encouragement of me and my family during this difficult time and my heart is filled with tremendous love and gratitude. The LORD has seen fit to give me enough strength to teach at church several times since I have been out of the hospital. In fact, I am teaching again this weekend at both Friday and Sunday services. The title of the message this weekend is 'The Changed Life'... And I have certainly experienced some profound change. I really believe God wants us to all experience life change, a life change that is genuine and manifests itself in genuine healing and spiritual growth. So this is my prayer for you today, that God would help you make the changes in your life that bring healing and spiritual growth and draw you closer to HIM.

With all my heart and love
Kit

Uncle Kit,
We are still checking the blog and praying everyday! We (me & mikaela) leave tomorrow for CA for a few days, with Jazzie and my mom, checking out a school for Jazz. I'm so bumbed we will miss this weekend. We'll most certainly have to get the CD, but nothing compares to seeing you and hearing the Word in person. All our love always! ~ciara, michael & mikaela.

P.s. tell mikey & shae hi, and we'll get together when i get back.

Hello Pastor Kit,
Grat message, but I can't get this question off my mind: What did Tom Hanks say to Private Ryan?
Was it "Earn it" or "make it count!"?

Aloha Kit,

I have been wanting to stop in for a few weeks now and say THANK YOU. God has used you and your testimony to pull me back in to Himself. I had fallen away from the church and from believing in Christ for some time.

You don't know this, but 8 years ago, I attended Hope Chapel for a few weeks when I was pregnant with my child, going it alone. You ministered to me at your home... it was a bible study, I believe. I felt myself being pulled, but I resisted. I never forgot you, b/c you took the time to answer some questions I was struggling with.

Long story short, 8 years later, I had re-connected with God, but still could not bring myself to believe that Jesus Christ was the ONLY way to a spiritual life.

It wan't until about 2 1/2 months ago, when you spoke at a Friday night service, shortly after your return from the hospital, that I received Christ again. My sister Makoto had invited me to start coming with her to church. I was moved by your story. When you spoke of how God came to you in the hospital in your moment of weakness~ your moment of fear... and comforted you... and how you realized the depth of His Love, and hard it must have been for Jehovah, when Christ begged for the Father to "take this cup from me, if it be your will", for the Father to say "No, my Son"....
Wow. I was moved in my spirit.

Before you even called people to the front of the church to accept Christ, I knew it was going to happen. Something in my spirit was telling me "he is going to call people up, and tonight... after all these years of struggling, you are going to go." You began speaking of when you were first called to Christ and that your "seat was burning beneath you..." and that some of us out there might be afraid of what our friends would think... and everything you were saying, I was experiencing!

It was an incredible release and relief to let go, get up out of my chair and fall into His arms. And I have been falling into His Word and His Love ever since that day.

Thank you... for being a witness. Thank you for continuing to be used by God, and for sharing your heart even in the midst of your pain. You are a blessing in my own life, and to Hope Chapel... May God Bless you immensely.

Kit,
I still pray for the church in Kihei and your family daily - that God would bless them with your service, your teaching, and your fatherhood. You can say, as did the apostle Paul (although you are probably too humble to do so), that it is to the benefit of the church and your family that you remain. And it is. So that is my prayer: that God would bless the church and your family with your continued ministry for many more years...in health! I have been on two back-to-back road trips for over one month; otherwise I would have written sooner. I love you and my boys still think fondly of you. I can't remember whether I told you or not, but Kai placed third in the state of Washington for his age bracket this season. The boy who won placed third in the nation this year. My best to your whole family, especially lottery wife Shelly.
