It's been two months since my dad went to heaven and I can't believe it. I found this poem and it really spoke to me so I wanted to share it with you all.
love, Maisha
GOLDEN HEART
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not meant to be,
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
as we saw you pass away.
Although we loved you deeply,
we could not make you stay.
Your Golden Heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Oh Maisha, how the time is flying. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem but most importantly for sharing your amazingly beautiful Dad with us! I love you so much, Deb
I miss your dad, too. So very much. Such an amazing person. We are all forever changed by knowing him.
We know that you miss him more than we can imagine. He was the source of so much love and support for you and his absence leaves an aching void in your lives. I just pray for continuing comfort for you, a new supply of manna for each day.
We send you hugs like this: (((Maisha))) (((Shelly))) (((Mikey))).
All our love today and always,
The Johnsons
Thank you for the poem, I have it leaning against a photo of Angie. It kind of says it all. I know of your pain and sadness of not having this wonderful dad by your side. It is a fight of knowing it is okay and thinking it really isn't. Stay strong, with Gods help
we forge on each day.
Lovin and praing for all of you
Sharon
as I said to Karen before, poems have such a way of expressing the inexpressible. Love this poem - I am glad you found it for t is such a source of comfort.
A very touching Poem that brought tears to my eyes.
How very difficult to be the loved one left behind. I feel for your family's loss still to this very day. Holding you and your family in prayer. Much love.
We miss your whole family! It is so strange how life will be progressing along and all of a sudden something will remind me that the next time I see Kit will be in heaven. Yesterday I was watching the worship team at church and someone was playing the guitar and singing. All of a sudden I had a rush of memories of Buddy and Kit at Ohana group and at Friday night service, singing together and playing their guitars. I was filled with sadness, thinking of Buddy leading worship now, without Kit. But there was joy in knowing that Kit is certainly having great fellowship and worship =)
We love you Shelly, Maisha, and Mikey - wish we could be there to help comfort you. Much Love,
Tammy, Frank, Josh, CJ, and Matthew
