Hi everyone!
It's been a while, but this is Maisha again. Please pray for my dad...he is in a lot of pain from a sciatic problem. We think that he was a little too excited when he got out of the hospital and did a LOT of walking and, in turn, really aggravated the nerve. It also may be partly due to the bone marrow tests that they did at the hospital.
My dad wants you all to know that he will try to get up there and speak on friday, july 11 and sunday, july 13. and, as always, he is appreciative of every little thing...your prayers, your love, your financial help, cards, etc.
Also, some of you know already, but there is going to be a book made from his hospital experience and the early writings of the blog.
Kit wants you to know that you can listen to and download his current messages that are linked to this blog (on the right hand side) or you can just go to hopechapelmaui.com. You can access the archived messages on various topics (including his apologetics course material...which, as many of you know, is his passion!). Just in case you might not know (which I wouldn't if Kit Lauer wasn't my father) apologetics is defending Biblical Christianity.
I know that most of you know this already, but my dad really wanted me to repeat it...he went through 2 chemotherapy treatments at Kaiser on Oahu...and they both were refractory (which just means...they didn't work). He is just concentrating on health right now and praying that he will be around for quite some time more.
much love!!

Yes Maisha, Apologetics is Kit's passion :). To be passionate about something for the glory of God is a good thing.

I understand that Kit wrote a post by himself yesterday but was lost in a computer glitch. Thanks Maisha for stepping in, and posting for your dad.

Kit, a lot of people are praying - we pray that those sciatic nerve pains will go away. And for complete healing.

I hear you are going to the city of hope for treatment. My friend Federico Pecora went there recently for esophogial cancer....he is cancer free now (Praise God), my mom had breast cancer and went to Hoge Hospital in Newport, she is cancer free (Praise God). Just wanted to offer some encouragement. I will be praying. Katie M
