Results...

Again, we did not get the results that we wanted...the chemo did not work.  The doctors are not recommending another chemo treatment.  God's ways are not our ways but my dad's prayer now is that he get well enough to come home.  He will most likely get transfusions from Maui Memorial to keep him going as long as we can.
I'm sorry to have to give this news to everyone...I know everyone truly wanted his healing.
We thank you again for the love and support.
much love!

Do not be defeated. The Lord's ways are not our ways and he does not need chemo to heal you. Believe that he can still complete the healing in you. The fight is not over.

Kit, you are still strong and will be able to fight the infections so you can go home to Maui.

the rest of you are so strong as well...Maisha, Mikey, your mom....you have all shown us how to handle situations like this with beauty and grace.

I'm shedding tears not for the fact that the cancer is still there but because you are ALL blessed by God to head home to Maui and continue to make memories.

I love you all and hope the blog will continue--maybe not every day, but often enough for us all to continue to grow under the watchful eyes of God.

Needless to say, our God who knows the very number of hairs on your head and His eye is on the sparrow and He watches over you is your portion! You're right ... this was not the news any of us had wanted to hear. BUT GOD ...
Kit, once again, in doing my "Paul" Study today, I thought quite a bit about you. We know the Apostle Paul wrote four letters while he was on "house-arrest" in Rome. Each of these letters was God-inspired, and became Books in the Bible (Colossians, Ephesians, Philemon and Philippians). Even though Paul's incarceration took away his ministry of traveling and preaching, it created a NEW "God-inspired" ministry ... that of “writing”; more specifically, "letter writing”. God used the apostle's inability to travel & preach to "force him to sit and write". Does this sound like anyone else you know? YOU!!!
You're right when you say, "God's ways are not man's way ... they're much higher than our ways". Those letters that the Lord wrote through you, Kit, were not just incidental, or something for you to do in your "spare time" while in the hospital. Kit, those letters that you wrote these past weeks have been "God-inspired"! God has used them, He's using them, and He will continue to use them to teach, counsel, strengthen, encourage, exhort, build up and edify the Body of Christ (as well as those who don't know Him ... yet) forever! What an incredible call of God; what an amazing ministry He's chosen you for.
Kit, we continue to think about you, and pray for you and your family daily. We love you so much ... What an Inspiration you’ve been to us.
Love: Pam (& David & Shaylee Grace) Michael

Kit,

you probably don't know me but my life and so many others have been changed by your outpouring of love and grace on and off the stage. I have never seen anybody deliver a message with the compassion and sincerity that you display every week. You are a big reason for my salvation and an even part of my daily walk. Please know that I am one many who feel this way. You are truly filled with Holy spirit and we can all see it. I guess what I am trying say is that God has given you extraordinary gift and you've used it glorify him beyond belief. We are praying for a miracle to show everyone God's power to heal.

I read the sad, sad news hours ago. When both of our boys finally went to sleep, I tried too, but couldn't. I've been journaling the last hour. There is so much to say, and yet I don't know what to say. I can't seem to grasp or understand this all, but one thing I am certain: Our God is a good God and loves us oh so much! We continue to pray for your strength and endurance, hoping we will see you back here on Maui soon. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you . . . .

Dear Kit and Shelley, It is not the news that we all expected but I know that this is not the end. you are all fighters and I have no doubt that like Jacob you will fight until you get your blessing or until the end. The loss of this battle is NOT defeat. We have a mighty God. So much more than this disease. I am so in awe over how all of you have handled this and you still show so much love for us through it all. I will be forever humbled by your example. Keep fighting and we will fight with you!

It's 1:15 in the morning and I can't sleep. I keep reading today's blog like it will change before my eyes. I want to write something, but what? What could I say that hasn't been said yet.

I just don't think this is over yet. You know, just last week I went to a party at my friend Silvana's house in celebration of her mom's complete healing of Lynfoma. Months ago the doctors told her that they didn't know if she would make, but so many people prayed for her that she's free of cancer. I truly believe that the same will happen to Kit. He's going to get well and come home and leave here many more years than we can imagine. He'll be teaching again in no time and Friday night services will be packed, more than Easter or Christmas services. He'll be an inspiration for many people and be the reason for the salvation of many more.

Don't give up, we didn't. We still have hope and faith and we'll keep praying and asking God for a miracle.

I love you guys so much and I'm praying all the way, non stop.

With all my heart and soul.

I awoke with antipation and we can still be sad about things that aren't what we want and still know that God is all powerful. That He is the way. I also know that He still can do miracles even when we hear the worst. He made the blind see and the lame walk. He is our light and hope. Our prayers will never cease. Get strong, medically, because we already know you are a fighter. Look at what you have been through, not just now but in your life. Forge on!!!

Thankyou Lauer ohana for being part of God's ministry, you have made an incredible ministry team as a family. Kit,
When hearing the news our first response is "why Lord, this doesn't make sense" then I recalled a message you gave back in November regarding prayer and the responses that we can get...Yes, No, and Not Yet. You used a great example how God sees the big picture but only opens the blinds slightly for us to view a little at a time or else we could'nt possibly comprehend his works. I have learned to trust that God is in control in every situation we face even when we can't understand. We have been so blessed by your teaching and examples and witnessing the true vessel of the Lord that you've become. It gives hope to all who trust in the Lord. For now, we're holding on to "Not Yet" so do not be discouraged. GOD is in control. We love you all and will continue to pray for all your needs.

Lee and I were heartbroken to hear the results. We prayed & prayed for you last night and this morning. It is true that God does not need chemo or anything else to heal you. We pray for each of you. This is not easy. I am reminded of a message you gave one Sunday morning Kit and you said "sometimes God squeezes us like a tube of toothpaste and we see what comes out". He has squeezed each of you and what has come out is the incredible deepth of your trust and love for the Lord and steadfastness in Him. The Holy Spirits anointing in your lives. It is not an easy - no it is awful but we continue to hope and pray for complete healing.

Kit,
Aloha from Japan, just received news of the doctors decision to discontinue the chemo treatments. Kit, I am so amazed at the outpouring of love and prayer from the 'Body of Christ' that you have helped create. If you ever had any doubt of the love we have for you, I pray that those doubts are gone. When the time does come, I know that Jesus is going to have an amazing crown ready for you, in honor of all of His children that you have brought to Him.

In the mean time, we may just have to get a plastic bubble for you to be in up on stage, so you can continue to spread God's Word. Do you have a visual yet? Sorry, had to add a little humor in light of the situation.

Again, Kit, I can't thank you enough for the 'new life' you have helped me acquire and mature in. You are truly a blessing.

I am grateful that you obeyed and honored God by fulfilling your purpose in life on a daily basis, many of us wouldn't be one of God's children, if you hadn't. Do you see the vastness of what you have already accomplished in honor of God? It is amazing! But I know there is more in ya and we've only just seen the beginning....love ya much and anxious to have you back on Maui. Love, Beth
