Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:14
Day 13 finds me re-learning this lesson in very dramatic fashion! I am not in pain, nor nauseous, albeit, what little hair I had left seems to be rapidly fleeting:) but the battle when you are facing a mortal enemy is really holding the reigns in on yourself, your mind and thoughts and waiting upon the Lord. We must wait upon the Lord when we are facing circumstances which are beyond our control. For to act before the Lord moves would be foolish and counter productive. Our thoughts and actions should never get a head of the Lord, especially in those circumstances that come upon our lives and overwhelm us. Wait on the Lord...and as we do, our courage to face circumstances otherwise unbearable and frightening for us is bolstered a hundred times as He comes and strengthens our hearts. Tomorrow morning at 9:00am we take the bone marrow test which will tell us whether we head toward the bone marrow transplant and closer to healing or we go another round of chemo. Please continue to join me in praying for -0- cancer cells. Until then, let us wait upon the Lord. I love you guys! ---kit, humbled servant of Jesus Christ

Kit,
While waiting I encourage you to read 2 Chronicles 20:1-29. The Lord brought you to my mind while I was reading that a couple days ago. I know He wants me to share that with you.
Some of my favorite verses there:
v. 12b: ... we do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you."
v 15 : Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours but God's.
v. 17 Do not be afraid; Do not be discouraged. GO OUT TO FACE THEM TOMORROW AND THE LORD WILL BE WITH YOU.
There are many more great verses there - happy reading! We're praying... yes we are!
Hi Kit,
This is a favorite scripture of mine and I seem to get reminded of it A LOT! ;)
Lee and I continue to pray for the test tomorrow. We are also asking the Lord to heal you without you having to go through the whole process...nothing is impossible for Him! We know He teaches us so much on these journeys that make us exercise our spiritual muscles...but... what was it I read once about a man who went through a very hard time?...he made it through and said that he would never, ever choose that route nor would he ever wish it on anyone but he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world either because of all the blessings at the end of it. So may the Lord heal you completely without any further treatment and if you have to continue may you find yourself in His glorious presence anticipating all the blessings at the end of it.
Hugs and kisses with love,
Lee & Renee
So glad you are feeling better!! I will pray tonight and all morning tomorrow that you will be allowed to start the bone marrow transplant process.
I didn't know Maisha was in town for the law exam--I look forward to seeing her Thursday and having a chance to pray with her.

Kit.....Fenny and I read your Sunday Blog. All confirmation to the assurance the Lord gives me when I pray for you. I am not surprised. Stand firm.
Your going to the Mainland to get your bone marrow. With Aloha, John & Fenny
Good night & Good morning Kit,
Praying for your test at 9AM tomorrow and that Shelly is there. You are proof that you can't keep a good man down :) I wrote more earlier but lost the comment, not so good at this blogging yet.
As you reach out to those who care for you our circle of prayer wideneds too.
Your letters encourage many as do the comments back to you. Praying for your good test results and that God blesses you with hugs from Shelly, rainbows and God rays peeking through the storm clouds. Take care my friend and see you soon, Janet :)
Kit,
I was reading last night and came across this message along with my one of my favorite verses and immediately you came to mind:
When we need direction we must trust that the Lord will take our faith, limited as it is, and make something of lasting value out of it. God has a plan for us. He cares about our dilemmas, hears our heartfelt cries and will answer us in ways that will astonish us and fill our hearts with songs of joy.
"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
I pray you will truly feel peace as you have a multitude of people praying for you each day! God bless you and your family. We love you!!
Laura Roll
We'll be praying at 9:00am
Love,
Gerry Terry Chad & Whitney
Aloha Uncle Kit!
Awaiting the good news!
As I see what you have written I think about 'selah' - In your song of life, this is your 'selah' A time to take a deep breath, reflect on what you have done, and prepare for the next verse. Always giving praise for what He has done and what He is going to do. Your purpose there is defined more each day.
Our prayers and love are with you & you are constantly in our thoughts!
Jamie & kids :)
Lifting you up in prayer and awaiting to hear your Excellent Report: ZERO BLAST/CANCER CELLS!!
I'm also in agreement with Lee and Renee, and many others believers, that I Peter 2:24 says "Your are HEALED" by His stripes.
'are' past tense.... it is done!
love you, Freckles
Kit,
While I never really got to know you personally while I was on Maui, I want you to know how much your messages meant to me and how much I appreciate you. I spent about 10 months of last year (in 3-4 month increments) on Maui for job contracts at Maui Memorial Medical Center (I'm a respiratory therapist). I hadn't had much of a church home in a long time before getting to Maui, but as soon as I went to my first Friday night service at Hope Chapel, I felt at home. Your down to earth messages that managed to still cut to the heart really touched me and I just really wanted you to know that. I've been training for a marathon with Team in Training and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since February and I want you to know that I am adding you to my Honored Heroes list and will be thinking of you when I run my marathon (it will be June 1 in San Diego). My thoughts and prayers are with you!
