day 18-my dad had a pretty rough night last night. He called my mom and I at 5 am and told us he needed us to come be with him. He is doing better now. The infection (most likely caused by the port they had put into his chest) is still here...please pray that it leaves soon because it causes my dad much discomfort. and, he won't be able to start chemotherapy unless he is rid of the infection. We are all so thankful (especially my dad) that there is so much prayer going on out there. We have also heard that some of you are fasting and we are just so very grateful.
My dad wants you all to know that he loves you.
I have to say that reading many of your cards and letters have made all of us weep. they are so beautiful and heart-felt. and my dad says he, "cries for happy"
love,
Maisha

Hi Kit,

I'm glad you're feeling a little better this morning. I kept waking up last night thinking of you and would pray and go back to sleep, then wake up again and pray, again and again.

We are definitely in this with you and we just refuse to give up!

We are so thankful God is in control and everything is possible with Him.

He loves you so much as we all do.

Love and prayers to you and your blessed family.

Love you guys, Carole

Dear Kit
It is good to know that your family is near and able to come to you at any time of the night. I think the Lord is waking many of us during the night to Pray for you...I awoke 3x's last night and prayed, Prayed,Prayed! Last night we celebrated Carole's Birthday and we all held hands and prayed a miricle for you!I belive, as many others do too, that God is not done with you yet, and Great things are going to come for His Glory! Keep the Fight my friend and know we are fighting too! I have a verse for you the Lord gave my this morning.."But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings" Malachi 4:2a Notice the verse say's SUN and Not SON?
I looked it up and it said "An impersonal reference to the display of righteousnes throughout the entire earth...which only confirmed to me that thru this you are touching many thru your righteousness and your fear for the Lord,as the sun sends it's rays everywhere! Keep the Light Shinning!
Love, Blessings, and God Speed to you Our Firend!

I've wept as I've read some of your blogs...It's such an emotional time; a time when I think most of us are feeling Christ's presence and love as we continue to pray for freedom from infection and restful nights to help you heal.

This blog is filled with so much love--and I know that is only because of God's infinite love for all of us--especially you, Kit!!

Seems like God is calling upon many of his saints to pray and intercede at all hours of the night and day. What an awesome example of how a body of believers should operate. Standing in the gap for our brother and his family. There's a plan so much greater than our limited ability to see. We must trust and obey.

May you all feel His loving arms wrapped around you during this time.

Much love,
Cliff & Jeri

We are so glad you are there for your dad. How lonely those long nights would be if he didn't have you so close. We are with you all in spirit, though it's not the same as your wonderful physical presence. God be with you all and give you strength for each day and night.
much love, Joe and Karen

Hi Kit,

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. I've never "blogged" before(if that's what I'm even doing). Anyhow, Lyn and I are praying for your speedy recovery, and we have many churches in the Philippines and S. Korea praying for you as well. You need to get better, because when our new baby arrives (in the next few weeks) he or she has to meet the man who baptized her daddy.

I love you Kit--we love you. You are a tough son-of-a-gun, and with God's good grace, you will beat this thing!

Hey Kit,

Hehehehe... Part of what I wrote sounds crazy. "he or she...baptized her daddy" The radiologist said our baby is most likely a girl, so we are sort of expecting that to be the case. However,God only knows for sure. John Martin was told that all three of his babies would be girls, and look what happened there. We will be getting another ultrasound on the 23rd. We'll let you know the results.

Good night Kit, Shelly & Maisha
& whoever else is in your room :)
Well, my phone fianally quit tonight after calling all day to get the word out, our dear Kit needs prayers for encouragement, healing of infection and an electric blanket :)
So glad you are surrounded by your dear ones and praying they are making you laugh through the pain, God and laughter the best medicine. Your laughter has healed so many through your stories and God's word that I pray we can do the same for you.
God bless your sleep tonight and hug each other tight.
I'll be praying for Mikey & Shay, that they are comforted too.
Love to read your blogs and all the encouraging notes from all who love you. Po'o is praying too.
Hugs, Janet :)

Please know that you are being daily lifted up in prayer. It is evident in your blog that Christ is holding you close, and that in sickness as in health you retain a servant's heart and a brilliant Spirit-filled mind. Our bible study in Thousand Oaks CA is praying for you.
Love,
Melissa and Tom Placke

Dear Kit and family,
I heard from Jackie, my client this morning (Sun)and she said she heard from your brother. She wanted you to have Dr Chan send the report to the Dr. F at City of Hope so they could communicate. Please refer to Jackie in that communication.

Let me know if I can assist in any way.

We are PRAYING!!!

Love you so much!

Hi Kit,

I don't think we have ever met in person at Hope Chapel, but my husband and I are great fans of yours. We have been going to Hope Chapel regularly for five years, but usually attend Sunday morning services because of our young children. Whenever you speak on Sundays, it is such a treat! We love your passion and your humor, and your God-given gift to share God's word in such an amazing way. I have volunteered in the office at Hope Chapel, and you were the one person who really stands out in my mind. You would warmly greet us and let us know how much our dedication meant to you. Well, please let me relay to you now how much you mean to us. You are in our thoughts daily and I can't tell you how much you are missed at the Chapel. We are praying for you Kit and we know that the faith that you have shared and taught all of us will strengthen you and bring you through. Stay strong, and be the fighter that we know you are.

Our love and prayers,

The Baltrus Family
