Day 24

Dear All,

Kit didn't have a fever today, praise God! He was up this morning walking in the hallway, feeling better. The doctor says they will perform a CT scan at the beginning of the week and if it shows his lungs are clear, he will be able to start Round 2 of chemo around mid-week. He really appreciates all the encouragement he is receiving from you and he feels the strength of your prayers. Please pray that his temperature remains normal, that the extra fluid he has in his legs and arms will go down, and the scan will show clear lungs so he can go forward with his chemotherapy.
Psalm 103 1:5
Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me. Bless His Holy name. Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all His benefits. Who forgives all our inequities; who heals all our diseases. Who redeems our life from destruction; who crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies. Who satisfies our mouth with good things; so that our youth is renewed like the eagles."

Love,
Aunt Dawn

Dear Kit, the Lord gave me Psalm 41:1-3 last week & I've been praying this ever since!

"How blessed is he who considers the helpless; the Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble. The Lord will protect him, and keep him alive, and he shall be called blessed upon the earth; and do not give him over to the desire of his enemies. The Lord will sustain him upon his sickbed; in his illness, Thou dost restore him to health."

We love you Kit, we're praying hard, Ivy (and Steve!)

Hi Kit, It is so good to see you standing there with your bro. You look great. Thanks for posting the photo. It makes us feel so much closer to you.

Shelly we are praying that your strentgh will be renewed daily.

Craig says he wishes you could have seen all the people filing past his classroom to pray for Kit on Tuesday night. They kept coming into his class trying to find out where to go to pray for Kit.

They used his room to seek God together for Kits healing and Gods power to sustain you and the family.

Do you remember this song?

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, thy mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning, new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness.

Shelly when you get up each morning, please know that you have a whole new batch of mercies that are waiting for you. We love you.

Hi Kit,
My wife Julie and I have been attending your apologetics class when you were diagnosed. You know, you didn't finish your class. You need to come back and finish your class. There are a bunch of us that were getting so, so much out of your class. Your class was so meaningful for me. You were able to take some real difficult issues and make them understandable. My faith is so strengthened from your class. You see, you've got to come back and continue your ministry. I hope God feels the same. You still have so much work to do here! That class, Hope Chapel, you... are so dynamic. You've touched so many lives. Actually, you've impacted so many lives. Mine included.
Julie and I pray for you many times every day. We simply pray for healing. Kit, we really want you back at the church, where you belong. Thanks for what you've done for me, my faith, and my walk with Christ. I know I speak for many.

In Christ,
Rob & Julie Harcus

I am SO HAPPY to see you up and about!!!! To be able to stand and walk around a bit is such a blessing!

I talked to my best friend last night (an osteopathic physician) and she said she will add you to her prayer group---so now you have prayers coming from Pueblo, CO.

Always praying, anxiously awaiting a clear CT scan so chemo can begin again,
