Day 26

Kit is continuing to press on and is keeping his focus on fighting the good fight so he can make it to the next round of chemo. He has slowly been able to get up and walk each day and he's eating better. Now Kit will give you the verily, verily...Pray that he makes more neutrophils (our fighter white blood cells) so he can get over this lung infection.

Please pray for his immediate family members because this takes such a toll on them. Pray for his two children, Michael and Maisha, that the Lord will help them process this and will comfort them. Pray for his wife Shelly. Being the spouse, she carries the heavier burden.

Kit also reiterates the unbelievable outpouring of love, concern and compassion for him and for his family at this time. He says this is why it's so important to have a church family to belong to, where everybody joins forces to help at times like these. Your financial donations, your cards, your emails, your comments posted on the blog...all of them demonstrate the love of God. And after all, God is love. 1 John.

Our sincere gratitude for all that you guys have done and are doing on our behalf, it's just another demonstration that the love of God is alive and well and active in the body of Christ.

Kit,
I miss you! I just wanted you to know that my preschoolers and I are praying for you every morning. I wish you could hear their little voices lifting "Uncle Kit" up to the Lord. It's awesome.
Rest well knowing that you are covered in prayer and loved by so many people.
With love to you and your family,
Stacey

Dear Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kit;
I've been thinking of a powerful message given by Kit: "Holding back the tears talking with Charlie Wedemeyer, Charlie motioned me to come closer and whispered, 'Kit, don't feel bad for me. Because of this illness, I have learned the joy of total dependence on the Lord"
We are praying for you guys.
Love Ger

Was just praying for you Kit, and the Lord gave me this verse,
Psalms 112:7
They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.
Love you, praying for you, and have confidence in the Lord for you...

Yes, I have been and I will pray for you all . . . Kit, Shelly, children . . . siblings and other family and friends. I am leading a Bible study this week that helps me rise above and pray more effectively. God is so good to have me remember some of the helpful Principles put out by Charles Stanley. I love you Kit and Shelly and all and know God is blessing and I keep praying HE had many many more miracles scheduled. I talked with someone who loves you and now lives in Alaska and so the prayer team grows.

HEY KIT,
I AM STOKED TO SEE YOU UP AND AROUND. I DON'T KNOW IF SHELLY TOLD YOU ABOUT MY DAD. AT 58 AND A PASTOR, HE FOUND OUT HE HAD THE SAME LUEKEMIA THAT YOU HAVE. HE WAS GIVEN 6 WEEKS TO LIVE. NO CHEMO BACK THEN. I GAVE SHELLY THE MEDICINE HE RECEIVED TO HELP HIM TO HAVE COMPLETE REMISSION. HE MADE MEDICAL HISTORY SURPASSING THE 6 YEAR MARK. HE LIVED 16 YEARS. I CALL HIM THE HEZAKIAH MAN. MELE AND I ARE FASTING AND PRAYING AND BELIEVING YOU WILL BREAK HIS RECORD. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU.

WITH LOVE AND ALOHA,
LYNN AND MELE

Thanks Dawn for being Kit's scribe.

Kit, I'm glad to see your photos. Yes, we are praying for more neutrophils, and the complete healing from lung infection.

You and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers.

kit,
this song is our praise to the Lord and our prayer for you:

Savior
He can move the mountains
my God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
forever
Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

He conquered all that came with the grave- death, sin, disease and even cancer. we proclaim this brother because in James 5:15 it says that "the prayer ofered in faith will make the ill person well."

we miss you and love you!

Hey Kit, Shelly, and the Lauer clan,
I can't tell you how many times a day we think of you...We continue to pray for God's healing and peace for you all. Thanks for including the photos on the blog- we loved seeing them. We pray that the Lord continues to breathe His life into you, strengthening and healing as He does so. Craig passed on your message to us all at church yesterday. We, too, are grateful that you poured your life into people- people like us. I can't remember an encounter with you where we didn't leave knowing that you cared about us. Thanks so much for that. We pray you sleep well and feel His arms around you all.
Much love,
Randy & Julie

The Sun is shining the sky is clear. you can see both side of the mountains on Maui.
The same way i stand behind you . Shining and clear in prayer .
I know many of us would like to help , so as I .
My Grand Father had the same issue as you , and it was not easy on the family .
Get well and let God be in control

Dear Kit,
I loved hearing Craig's message yesterday at church that you are so close to God! And I have been praying that you continue pressing into Him, trusting in Him, for He is there loving you! A devotional I read says, "How do we endure? We are not to look at hings that are seen, but at things that are unseen.."
"For he endured, as seeing him who is invisible". Hebrews 11:27
My family is praying for you and yours, Nat
