Day16: We didn't get the news that we were all praying for. In fact the results weren't even close. We were hoping for less the 5% blast cells (cancer cells) remaining but the cancer cells were still hiding out in the bone marrow and in some places they were as high as 80%. Of course we ask why? Job asked God the same question and God said to Job, "... did you create the universe?" Often He does not answer the way we want Him to. We have several options now. I can take another round of chemo and if that doesn't work there may be a new research therapy at the city of Hope. With the next round of chemo the percentage of success drops rapidly to just around 35% . In the spiritual world, however, we know God can rescue us in the 11th hour just so we know it is him. I have made the decision to start another round of chemo as soon as possible. I am doing this for my family friends and church body. I am just submitting to the will of God. I know He can heal me if that is His will. Thank you for you all your prayers and beautiful cards and letter...your love is holding me up right now "...we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 2 Cor. 4:8-9

I prayed with a broken heart this morning.....but I still BELIEVE; still HOPE; and still PRAY, even more now than ever!

Hang in there, Kit! We are taking this journey with you, every step of the way.....

"The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace."
Numbers 6:24-26

Faithfully praying,
Lita

Kit,
You have touched so many people's lives that we all wish we could somehow help you with this challenge you and your family are facing. Just know that you are not your cancer, you are still you, a wonderfully inspiring man who for a fairly new Christian like myself has spoken words that were encouraging and uplifting to me when I needed it most.
I am praying for your body to be healed to match your spirit who is Kit. God bless you and your family.
Lovingly,
Anna Mae

We trust our Creator Kit and we know His will is perfect. Every word you send out is a sermon to His glory because you are so faithful in spite of the obsticles you are facing. Our whole Snowbird Ohana is lifting you in prayer wherever they are as we share your news with them. Fred and Diane Pierce are faithful Friday night service folks and send their love from Maui and Las Vegas.

We are all on this journey together and we are blessed to know where it ends. That is our joy and our mutual hope and, no matter what transpires in the interim, we win because the victory is His.

In Jesus,
Marv and Michele

Kit...thank you for showing us how we trust even when our prayers aren't answered as we hoped and things aren't going our way. It's the biggest challenge in our relationship with God, and we just appreciate you inviting us into your spiritual journey as you deal with this. Our prayers and love are behind you...never forget.
Love, Joe and Karen

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead - since he was about a hundred years old - and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had the power to do what he had promised...Romans 4:18-25

Kit..you exhibit the faith of Abraham!! and God will bless that faith...thank you for sharing this journey with us...and for allowing the Lord to use you to build our faith daily...He is setting the stage to "part the Red Sea"...Praise God as we believe and wait on Him expectantly..we are praying for you..much love..

Kit,
There is no way to top what Jerry and Janis said in the comment above. It should stand as the last word really.

Proof!

Proof!! that our God is THE Mighty One!

Proof!!! of His Great Healing Power in the face of everything that tries to tell us otherwise.

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony." And what a walking, living, breathing testimony you are and WILL CONTINUE TO BE !!!

Believe Caleb! Believe Caleb!

For we do not bow to anything less than the WORD OF OUR GOD who says "By His stripes we [YOU] are healed"!

In Jesus mighty name, we thank you Lord for Your miraculous Healing Power that you are even now pouring out upon our brother Kit.

Kit, today in prayer I saw in the spirit a huge angel standing over your bed. He was pouring out a golden liquid. It was thick like oil and the color of honey.

Thank You for your Peace upon our brother, Holy Spirit of God.

We are praying for you, Kit. From Vacaville, CA to Tampa and Orlando, Fl and all points in between my brother!

You are loved,
Carolyn

I just wanted you to know that my heart and thoughts are with you and your family. I attended Hope Chapel for 10 short months but your spirit and light were a true inspiration to me! I have my family and friends, and new church family in Michigan praying for you.

Seems like just the other day we were talking about Pascal and gambling odds -about how the confidence God gives us is not a 51% kind of thing but a total inner certainty. Elizabeth and I, as well as others in our family, have been praying for you. May the peace of God be with you in all things as He perfectly works out His plan. We will pray for a miracle.

PS - I wish I had found your blog earlier. I will have to check it out!

Hey Pastor Kit,

Hang in there. When I am down I always read this on a card I made..."When you are down to nothing...God is UP to something!"

Our God is a mighty God, His love sustains you, and His blood cover you and I continue to pray His healing will run through your body down deep to the marrow and wipe out those bad cells.

I love you!! I will keep praying, hang in there Pator Kit, Shelly and family.

God Bless,
Chantelle

It's not over till the fat lady sings, so.... I'll keep quiet! :)

Serioulsy though, it's not the "good report" we all anticipated to hear today and my heart breaks knowing you have to undergo more chemo... so we pray. We will lift you up to our loving heavenly Father to get you thru another Blast Killing session to clean "renewed" bone marrow.

It isn't with our eyes that Faith comes or how we feel. It isn't what 'man says' in the midst of the battle. It IS however, what God's Word says is ours and that's .."by His stripes you ARE healed". So from that Pastor Kit, we are all in agreement for you. When we've done all we can do, then we shall stand... and we stand FIRM as one body of believers in this battle with you Pastor.

Love you, Freckles

Kit-

We continue to pray for your complete recovery. We have seen many people healed in the past and we know that God is the same today as he was yesterday so I wouldn't worry about the 30%. We are trusting for 100%.

Love ya!

I sit here holding you all up in prayer and think of the song He IS Able. The chorus saying . . . something like . . . and if HE chooses not to answer in the way I wish HE would . . . I will stand confidtent knowing HE does all things good. Love you all and praying and agreeing with all the others . . . Tweety

Dear Kit,
When on my journey to victory over cancer, a number of times our path unexpectedly changed. We were dismayed and were definitely perplexed and Jesus walked and carried me through the fire!

I can just imagine the Lord bragging to the "enemy" as He says, "Have you considered My servant Kit?" (Job l:8)

We are with you in your travail and love you so much!
