a defining moment

May He grant your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans. May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory, flying banners to honor our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers.
Psalm 20:4-5

Day 14: I took the bone marrow test at 9:00am and as usual, the LORD strengthened me and kept it from being too painful. The Doctor, whom I was able to pray with during the procedure...wow, said my bones are very dense and I said especially my head bone:) but that the LORD was rapidly clearing the fog in my head through this journey. We will get the results of the bone marrow test tomorrow. If the test shows less then 5%...cancer cells...of course we are all praying for zero -0-, then I don't have to go another round of chemo and can move toward the bone marrow transplant. My prayer is that the Lord will answer our prayers with a victory shout for joy! I want you to know that even though I can't respond to all the comments, I love them and appreciate all of them as well as all the cards, letters, e-mails, pictures, financial support, love & concern you have poured out upon me and my family. By the way, Shelly is healthy enough now and is here with me at Kaiser Moanalua. That is an answer to our prayers and a wonderful gift to me. And so, with great expectation, we place all our hope and trust in Jesus Christ our Lord as we await the results of the test tomorrow. As soon as I get the word, I will immediately post it. Keep up your beautiful prayers, for the Lord lends His ear to His children and has all the power to act on their behalf, for He loves His children and desires to give them good gifts. I love you all more than words can express! humbled servant of Jesus Christ -kit

We prayed for you last night at Life Solutions. So glad to hear it wasn't as painful as we thought it might be; glad it's over for you and now we will just trust the Lord to take care of you in His perfect way. We pray for healthy cells in the name of Jesus.
Much love, Karen and Joe

Nobody had blog for me when I was in the hospital. Oh, wait a minute, I wasn't in a hospital. My wife was though, and she didn't have a blog.
Who came up with that word "blog"? Sounds like a scary science fiction movie creature.
Man, now I've forgotten what I was going to say.
Anyway, I'm praying for you Kit, God's got it under control, no worries. You're going to alright, my brother.

Hi Lil' Brother (who's big now!),

Remember when we went out soul winning?! That was fun. Now you're just having all the fun by yourself winning all those souls in there in the hospital. Hey! No fair!

Anyway, a bunch of us crazy soul winners are praying for you. In fact, we've got half of the MySpace world praying for you. Okay, maybe not half but a whole bunch, that's for sure. (God's watching so I cannot tell a lie right here right now, K?)

Love you and miss you!

Your Sister
(No, like for real your sister! No, the other one. Not the young one, the old one. No, the one that never writes and only shows up once a decade. Why are you saying thank you God???!!!)

Hi Lauers,

We love you and pray for you daily.

I am so glad Shelly is back by your side. Shelly is such an amazing gal! I heard at Bunk she worked cleaning condos up until the time she flew back over to be with you.

It brings such joy to me to know your family is being so bless by the outpouring of prayers and support. It brings back memories of the season in my life when Randy was battling his cancer. Kit you and Buddy did so much Randy and our family in that season of our lives.

We will await the news of the test results!

LOVE AND HUGS!!!
Kim

Roger and I are praying for you. We have not had the benefit of conversing much or spending time with you, except of course when you are giving a message at Hope. But I still feel a close kinship with you. When I think of you and who you are in Christ, it just makes me want to jump up and shout "YES!!! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!" Your humility and commitment to delivering God's word in truth is righteous. It doesn't get any better than that --surrendered in Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit--that's you. I say "If you want to know Kit's heart, read your Bible." You truly reflect the heart of Jesus. I want you around for a long time -- just knowing you exist is a testament to Jesus Christ and a huge benefit and encouragement to us all! God bless you and heal you according to His purposes. We love you so much through Christ Jesus.
