Hi all. I'm over here with my dad and he wanted everyone to know that I (or my mom) read the blog comments to my dad and they make his heart happy. He cries the whole time...for happy :)
We are praying that he can get off some of the medications because they make him so drowsy. His pain is doing alright though...and he prefers drowsiness to pain. He only feels bad because he doesn't have much energy right now for calls, emails or visitors. I told him that you all love him and completely understand.
love,
The Lauers

Dear Kit,
I just want you to know how much you are loved out here on the cold prairie of Saskatchewan! We were blessed to serve at Haggai Institute for a couple of 6 month terms and Hope was our home away from home, you blessed us so many times with your words and encouragement. Thank you and we pray God's blessings on you and all your family... Lyle and Gaylene

ciara, michael & mikaela
Your heart is pure.
Kit you practice what you preach. At least that is what I am reading. I am truly thankful to see that in my pastor. What a message of doing what is right, having a heart for God, or not doubting God's love, and God's will be done...through sufferring. You have preached so many messages from your hospital room. I read them in entirety. No one person can read this and not know that God changes a person, heals, and strengthens not just in body, but in spirit, and in your mind. God is with us always. Thank God for that.
Welcome home. I hope you are still home. As, I said before...Phillipians 1, Irish you felt better!
Love in Christ,
Tamara Johnson

Love,
Doreen and Charlie

Hey Kit!
I flew into Maui this evening for a few days. In fact, I already bumped into Lucy Jim, as well as Pat and Kandi O'Brien. It reminds of how small Maui is.
Although I know you're not quite up to snuff just yet, I just wanted to let you know you I'm thinking of you while I'm here.
I thought you would enjoy what the Lord laid on my heart as I was in the middle of my 8 hour flight from Dallas today. We have crosses everywhere; in our churches, in our homes, on our Bibles, around our necks, etc. The Lord showed me today that instead of focusing on the cross, we should focus on the resurrection. Without the resurrection, the cross is meaningless, just one more guy crucified by the Romans.
Don't know how we'd do it, but I think instead of a cross we should go around with a representation of the empty tomb. The empty tomb represents our eternal life in Jesus Christ. Anyway, that was my word from the Lord at 35,000 feet today.
Kit, I bless you and your family for they have been a blessing to me. I bless you for being a lover of the truth in an age of deception. That is a rare thing in our world today.
We pray for the Lord's providence upon you as continue in this earthly battle.
Hey, Kit, my friend...
I'm still here.
Just praying and letting you catch up with your family and rest at home.
It's almost 1 AM. I think this is the 7th "Watch" (IF there's 8 prayer watches in a 24 hr period, each 3 hrs, 24/7 model)
Anyway, haven't checked email in a week. Noticed I had 96!
HOPE you got the message Julian and I received your wonderful teaching set "Loving God With Your Mind" (on our anniversary! 5th!) How cool is that!
What an awesome network, between Shelly and Hope Chapel, she got that "puppy" sent out in NO time after our chat when you were in the hospital.
WHAT AN HONOR! Kit, we will TREASURE this and USE it to God's GLORY. You betcha!
Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!
We will think of it as an anniversary blessing from you!
Tomorrow's the Lighthouse again.
Every Thursday morning I look forward to the ladies in my home (10 - 1) Worship + Intercession: Touching and Praying the Father's Heart.
I hope you are feeling God's peace as you rest and know you are under His awesome wings!
One thought: I wish my husband Julian could have known you as the friend I have known you to be, your faithfulness, your kind and gentle spirit, not unlike his, your unrelenting, unswerving perseverence towards the Lord and fulfilling your call. Did I tell you the boat he and his brother Richard owned was called "The Persevere"?! (He's finally writing the book!)
Don't we have a great God! Oh, what a wonderful Savior, a kind and loving Father, all-merciful, all passionate in pursuing us, the Lover of our souls!
Well, my friend. Rest well these days. I haven't been led to call. Just thought I'd check the blog. The Lord is faithful in everything, including His timing!
REST IN HIM.
His ways are higher than ours.
Love to you and Shelly,
Hugs and prayers to Mikey, Maisha and also Buddy and Becky. Hope Buddy's OK since his accident.
I LOVE you Buddy!

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy reading what people say, and it makes me cry as well. Like all the others I smile at cry happy
I love that because I am big at that and would always say I am not sad just happy. I listened to another cd message while doing errands. They are so meaningful to me and I usually feel like you were talking to just me. How can all our lives be so intertwinded as I know your word touched many others the same. I have even started sharing the cds with others at our church here. They love your messages as well.
I am praying the medication can be decreased and you will find true rest for now. So happy that you are with all your family. Glad that you are eating better. Your faith is so rewarding to us.
Still with you each and every day is prayer.
Your friends in Christ

HI all you Lauers
As we experience together the bittersweetness of pain that draws us in to intimacy with one another and to God, I invite you to celebrate with me some more cry for happy.
My nephew who has struggled so went to his high school youth group snow camp last weekend. the pain: he broke his wrist snowboarding. the happy: he rededicated his heart to the Lord, and his girl friend invited Jesus in!!!!
Rest well Kit, it is your time to "be still, and know that He is God..." and soak up all the love.
missing you

Dear Kit,
Just wanted to let you know that you were in our (and many others) hearts during the Hope Chapel Teaching today. Craig did a really good job of describing the "intellectual or scientific" proof defending God's existence. He told us that this is a lesson that you would normally give. He shared that he "consulted" with you to get the message across. We noticed when he added his own little "spin" to the message when he touched on big bang, photons, and neutrons; he added a couple more----croutons and futons. Nevertheless, we got it. We were so profoundly reminded of you and reminded of how much we miss you. We love you Kit, we love your family and we pray for you every single day.
Love,
Doreen and Charlie Barnhart
We are so glad you all are getting to spend time with one another. Love you all, The Malone's

Aloha Pastor Kit,
I just wanted to take the time out to share with you how you have been a blessing to me and my family. About 15 years ago after a series of dissapointments I left my (Christian) church in search for a something that stimulated me intellectually and not just emotionally. I studied Buddism, Hinduism and finally settled on Christian Mystism. For me it was the best of both worlds. Until I found myself depressed and void of any accountability. As you know in faiths such as these there is no such thing as sin. So, in this delusion I continued in my flesh until I made such a mess of my life that I was forced to me knees. It's taken some time to find my way out of the web of lies and even longer to find a church that could answer the many scientific and philisophical questions that always left me wanting more. One day a friend invited me to sign up for your apologetics class (most recent) and though my travels prevented me from finishing the course I new immediatly that a prayer had been answered. For the first time I found someone who could help rectify my christian faith with science. I started to attend the Friday night service’s and have been attending ever since. I’ve renewed my commitment to the Lord and have found a peace and inspiration in my relationship with the Lord that I always new existed but seemed to ellude me. Your class tapes have found a permanent home in my car stereo, driving to and from work has never been so enjoyable.
One year ago my Aunt was diagnosed with lung cancer and after months of chemo it had spread to her brain and she was given 2 weeks to live. While driving to the hospital and listening to your message God spoke to me and I knew that I was being led to share the gospel with her. I’ve never had a problem sharing my faith with friends, family or strangers but the urgency you feel with someone on their death bed was new and unnerving to me. All my life I’ve never known her to be a spiritually minded person. She was a stoic women and not inclined to any outward show of emotions. I have to be honest, as much as I loved her I did not want to be the one to approach the subject with her. I was overwhelmed with a fear of rejection and did not know how to approach her in a way that was sensitive to her situation. So, I said a silent prayer went up to her bed and said; “Aunty do you want to know how much Jesus loves you”. Her response was immediate and pressing almost desperate, as if she’d been waiting forever for me to ask. We talked, prayed and before I left she received Christ. For the first time I witnessed her fragility as she cried and whispered in my ear that ‘she felt Jesus love and heard angles singing’. It was a beautiful and genuine experience and when she was laid to rest 20 days later ( 1week ago) it was with joy and peace knowing for certain that I would see her again.
So, in closing I want to thank you for being obedient to the call of christ on your life. You have taught me through your stories and your learned wisdom the value of surrendering to that still small voice and the gift of unconditional love. You have been a blessing and an answered prayer to me and instrumental in securing my Aunties place in Heaven and for that I will be forever thankful. I check your blog daily and am standing in constant and fervent prayer for you and your family.
Love and Godspeed,
Natasha
Hi Kit & Shelly,
I was reading in Romans 8 this morning and wanted to share a few verses that spoke to me. Romans 8:14-16 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out 'Abba, Father'. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God." You guys are in our thoughts and prayers each day.
Love you
Mike and Susan
Hi Kit,
I'm just writing to say how much I love you and have been thinking of you. I also wanted you to know that I've been praying for you and your family.
I saw Paco on Kauai last week and he continues to send his love and prayers, (I know he talked to Shelly last week and he was so glad to speak with her).
Your faith and strength continue to be an inspiration to me; it is Christ's love and strength that I see in you. You mean so much to me and I want you to know that the ways that God has used you to shape my life, my ministry, and my relationships with Him and others will always remain an indelible stamp on my heart.
Your friend and brother,
Steve MacDonald
Love you all, you are never far from my thoughts!
Kim
Hi Kit,
Just checking in to let you know that every day we are thinking of you and praying for you:)
Loving you,

Hi Kit,
I just want you to know that I think you are AMAZING. I've never met you before but I think of you often. You have encouraged me in so many ways and inspired me with your words and your strength. I tell so many people about you and ask them to pray for you. The light of Jesus shines so brightly through you. I will keep praying.
Renee
Aloha and the Lord of heaven's blessing's be upon you Kit:
We are so glad God's power and might are sustaining you. Isn't it peaceful to just let go. I've been meditating on a scripture that's made me so in awe of His love for us. "How precious also are your thoughts to me...Oh God...How vast is the sum of them? If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand- Psalm 139 17-18
Just the fact that he thinks of each of us is enough but that he cares about our thoughts and they outnumber the sand and that he does this for all HIS children at one time is astounding. Kit, my question is where are your thoughts? As I read someone's comment to your blog about the resurrection power of Jesus I ask you to embrace this with all you have and know we too are praying for this to be with you. This will build your energy. Have your family remind you often. Being still is the best place you can be this is when HE can really do for you.
Was wondering if you started back on the BarleyMax or some kind of greens. This will restore your energy just like it does for all the wild animals in God's creation. I'm putting an order in if you need any.
I'm looking forward and expecting God to heal you selfishly so I can attend your Apologetics class. It's the only one I haven't attended.
I am looking past the finish line seeing you in complete wellness here on Earth happy, healthy, with grandchildren, and a lot more people you are going to touch through God's Holy Spirit. Hold your mind captive to the desires of your heart.
Much HIS Tender Love and Aloha to you and your precious family,
Denise Claydon
